What is Youth Talk Suicide Advisory Group?
Youth Talk Suicide Advisory Group is a collection of young individuals who can bring unique knowledge, skills and ideas to complement the organisation, Community Actions for the Prevention of Suicide (CAPS) Inc. on how we can work with young people more effectively.
Do I need to have experience?
Previous experience is not required to join YTSAG however you do need to be aged between 15 and 25 years’ old
What does the role involve?
o Participating in regular YTSAG meetings
o Keeping well informed of youth issues
o Building and maintaining relationships with a range of local youth networks
o Providing essential insight and knowledge into the issues affecting young people
What are the time commitments?
o Monthly meetings to discuss matters relating to the Youth Talk Suicide Project
o Be willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months with the group
o There will be an expectation that you participate regularly in discussions, activities and projects

Do I get paid for this role?
This is an unpaid volunteer role however refreshments will be provided at each face to face monthly meeting.
When do the meetings happen and where?
Location: New Farm Neighbourhood Centre
967 Brunswick Street, New Farm Qld 4005
When: 2nd Monday of each month
Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
