Last time 4ZZZ's Harry Kuzewicz spoke to Kelvin Johnston from the Granite Belt Music Council, it was about their proposed music reforms. Since then, the council has faced many setbacks when trying to find support for musicians, notably a power outage at a first Nations event.

The Granite Belt Music Council is a not-for-profit organization from the Stanthorpe Southern Downs and granite belt region in Queensland. They advocate for musicians to perform in safe family friendly spaces, and have been working towards law reform to protect musicians from outdated laws that deem them a nuisance, rather than asset to communities.
