Queensland fifth in national economy

A survey has ranked Queensland’s economy as fifth overall in the nation. Taking joint first were the A.C.T. and W.A.

The New South Wales acting Treasurer John Hatzistergos has criticised the report as being out of date after his state was ranked last.
The report also found that while economic activity in Queensland has slowed in the last twelve months, along with Victoria it has the greatest potential to improve.
