Minister Dismisses Abbott’s Challenge

Mr Abbott told the ABC this morning he would introduce a private member’s bill into Federal Parliament to overturn the law which prevents development on rivers, claiming it discriminates against the local Aboriginal people. But Natural Resources Minister Stephen Robertson immediately dismissed the challenge, calling it an overreaction to a complex issue.
