Russia barred from 2018 Winter Olympic Games and more Zedlines

This comes after alleged widespread doping during the 2014 Sochi Games.

The International Olympic Committee announced yesterday stating they would allow Russian’s to compete as neutral individuals under strict conditions, and are required to wear uniforms bearing ‘Olympic Athlete from Russia.’

IOC president Thomas Bach feels as though this was an unprecedented attack on the integrity of the Olympic Games.

Queensland Rail to alter train timetables over Christmas
Queensland Rail are introducing new train timetables for the festive season in a bid to manage a ‘stress point’ in their network.

Between December 18 and January 21st, QR will provide services every 15 minutes or better for most lines during peak times and half-hourly frequency throughout off-peak periods.

Man killed in workplace accident
A young man has lost his life in a tragic workplace accident at a work site in Yatala.

It is believed that the 22-year-old was operating a cherry picker around 10:30am when he was initially injured.

More than five paramedic crews responded to the Link Drive construction site where it was found the man had suffered from critical chest and abdomen injuries.

Despite performing CPR on the young man for over an hour, he could not be revived.
