Coastline residents called to capture king tides
Australians living on the nation’s coastlines are being encouraged to capture photos of king tides which may document the effects of climate change and rising sea levels.
On December 14, king tides are expected to appear on some New South Wales and Tasmanian shores.
Green Cross Australia is the climate change organisation behind the project. Spokeswoman Mara Bun said given the incontrovertible evidence that the ocean is warming and rising, Australia needs to “wake up” to the challenge ahead.
