Record Store Day
The Record Store Day is a great chance to get down to your local record store and show your support.
Here’s a list of a few record stores around South East Queensland and what’s happening:
Brisbane:
Rockinghorse Records presents a wild day of live bands (to be announced), limited edition vinyl releases (these will be available on a first-come, best-dressed basis on the day: no pre-orders taken!) plus heaps more.
Tym Guitars on Winn st in the Valley are having a sausage sizzle, plenty of bands including The Nation Blue, Emperors, Midnight Woolf, Bruce, Roku Music, Cannon plus more TBA. It will also be the special release party for a new 7" by Shrine pressed on special orange and green vinyl and a new single by Midnight Woolf.
Jet Black Cat on Vulture St West End are having live performances with Thelma Plum and more TBA. With also plenty of special releases in store!!
Record Exchange on Adelaide St in the City are offering a deal in which you buy 3 records and receive 2 for free. Also fill a bag for $5 and fill a bigger band for $10.
Rockaway Records at Carindale Shopping Centre will have Eli Wolfe performing live in store with plenty of new and second hand CDs, DVDs and LPs.
Egg Records on Vulture St West End will have some limited edition vinyl available so get in quick and they'll also have 10% off on general stock.

Sunshine Coast:
Backbeat Records & The Time Machine in Nambour are both discounting all their vinyl with lucky dip wax packs, prizes and live performances TBA. Also a special support for local labels with extra discounts for Breakdance the Dawn, Negative Guest List, and Long Gone Record releases! Both stores are within walking distances of each other!
