Tumbleweed
Enlisting acclaimed producer Paul McKercher who originally helped define the bands sound on the 1995 album "Galactaphonic" and legendary single "Daddy Long Legs".
Recorded to 2 inch tape at Rancom Studio (Sydney) and mixed at the Grove (Central Coast NSW), "Sounds From The Other Side" is 13 songs oozing with heavy grooves, gigantic riffs and juicy analogue flavours.
This is the first time in over 15 years that the original line up has recorded together.
Forming in the early 90's, for a brief time, Tumbleweed pretty much dominated the Australian music landscape. With a string of EPs "Theatre of Gnomes" and "Weedseed" attracting international attention, it was a fairy tale beginning with the band eventually signing directly with Atlantic Records USA for their debut album. Tumbleweed toured internationally with Mudhoney and the Lemonheads and touring Australia with Nirvana as well as going on to release 4 albums and tour Australia extensively throughout the 90's.
The original line up fell apart shortly after the 2nd album and it didn’t seem likely that the band would ever reunite. But, in late 2009 Tumbleweed returned from the grave for a select performance at Homebake.
The show was so well received that they were invited to play the Big Day Out in Sydney and Melbourne the following month and they also the Meredith Music Festival in Victoria.
Tumbleweed has continued with a couple of sell out national headline tours and some tasty supports with Kyuss Lives and Swervedriver and the Dig It Up Hoodoo Gurus Invitational.
It’s been a long time coming, but now with their best album yet under their belt, Tumbleweed are well and truly back, bringing with them "Sounds From The Other Side”.
