Up Late events are held during selected exhibitions opens access to the Gallery’s major exhibitions outside of usual opening hours. Up Late welcomes visitors to experience the Gallery in a relaxed and social atmosphere, where a range of events are developed to enhance your visit. CALIFORNIA DESIGN UP LATE FRIDAYS 8 NOVEMBER – 13 DECEMBER 2013 QUEENSLAND ART GALLERY (QAG) 5.30–10.00PM See the Queensland Art Gallery in a different light at Up Late Friday night events during California Design 1930–1965: Living in a Modern Way, an exhibition of more than 250 iconic designs from mid-20th century California organised by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Up Late offers a unique opportunity to see the ‘California Design’ exhibition after hours, hear from local designers and enjoy live music performances in the Gallery’s beautiful Watermall. Meet with friends at Up Late and sample from a Californian inspired menu in the surrounds of QAG’s Sculpture Courtyard.
