Vivid LIVE 2014 featuring Pixies, Lauryn Hill, Giorgio Moroder, St. Vincent ...
Vivid LIVE 2014, Sydney’s “annual event of light, music and ideas”, is set to take place from Friday May 23 – June 9 and will see the Pixies return to Australia for the first time since 2010 to perform four intimate shows at the Sydney Opera House.
UK electro pop legends Pet Shop Boys will also return to headline the “Modulations” series – a collaboration between Carriageworks and Modular which will feature three days of exclusive music performances, art, installations and contemporary ideas.
Fred Deakin (one half of Lemon Jelly) will perform as part of Modulations and other music highlights include Grammy Award-winning dance-floor legend and Daft Punk collaborator Giorgio Moroder performing a DJ set and participating in an intimate Q&A session and The Presets performing their previously announced Australian Chamber Orchestra collaboration “Timeline".
Also appearing will be Ms. Lauryn Hill, St. Vincent, James Vincent McMorrow, Midlake, Kate Miller-Heidke, Nils Frahm and MUCH, MUCH MORE.
Vivid LIVE has maintained an open and flexible goal since its inception six years ago - to give artists the resources and context to introduce freshly hatched work, revisit existing material in exciting ways, and push the very notion of the concert to new levels - we hope you enjoy Vivid LIVE 2014.
