The much-adored charity football series that pits musicians against media has rolled out national dates for 2016, bringing the one of the most anticipated events on football, music and charity calendars to Brisbane for the first time.
The Reclink Community Cup celebrates Australia’s dynamic music and
community broadcasting sectors all whilst raising funds to help Reclink
Australia provide sporting and art opportunities for disadvantaged
Australians.
It all takes place on Sunday September 25 at Pine
Rivers Show Ground, featuring performances by some of the country’s most
notable artists with lineups for entertainment, players, and personnel
in each state expected in the coming months.
PLAYER CALL OUT
It’s now time for Brisbane’s musicians and media to stretch out those
atrophied muscles and start training for an epic aussie rules showdown.

in the ring at communitycup.com.au/brisbane

This year’s theme ‘Smells Like Team Spirit’ pays homage to Nirvana’s
classic album Nevermind celebrating its 25th anniversary with a
classically Australian cheeky nod to the day’s sport skew.
With
humble beginnings in 1993, the Melbourne game now attracts more than
10,000 people and raises more than $100,000 for Reclink Australia each
year.
In past years, luminaries such as Paul Kelly, Courtney
Barnett, Tim Rogers, Tex Perkins and more have participated either as
players, coaches or even water runners.
About Reclink Australia

enhance the lives of people experiencing disadvantage or facing
significant barriers to participation, through providing new and unique
sports and arts opportunities and specialist recreation programs.
