Catfish and the Bottlemen are a Welsh indie rock band formed in Llandudno, Conwy, Wales, in 2007.
The band derives its name from lead vocalist, Van McCann's first childhood musical memory: that of an Australian street busker in Sydney, playing beer bottles strung to a wire who went by the name Catfish the Bottleman.

The Peter Bilt Group – guitarist Peter Dunne, bassist Dan Hart and drummer Aaron Smith played together in the early ’80’s, but couldn’t get much interest from record companies with their sound, so they went their own way. 30 years later Dunne revisited some of their old tapes and thought the music still had fire, so he contacted the other two and they put it all together again for their debut album in 2020.
A fixture on the Los Angeles scene. His career kicked off when Lightnin’ Hopkins heard him playing drums and took him on tour in the early ’70’s.
