Heather speaks with Gary Thorpe from Silver Memories and 4MBS Classic FM. Gary has been named in Pro Bono Australia’s Impact 25 2022 awards that recognise people doing significant work in the community. Silver Memories uses music as a healing tool against social isolation, depression and dementia in older people. Gary has also been involved in community radio at 4MBS for over 40 years (and station manager since 1989) which leads us to a much larger chat covering classical music, Cribb Island, Shakespeare and the importance of community.
