Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week is a very special edition of "Protis Reviews." Tonight's show will focus on the annual competition run by Listen Up Music called The Songwriting Prize. The Brisbane semi-final is being held this evening at Black Bear Lodge in Fortitude Valley, and the artists who are performing there will be showcased here.
