9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Radio Reversal is a show that subjects aspects of everyday life to historico-political, theoretical, cheeky, irreverent, high brow, low brow, eye brow, warm-hearted analysis. Our aim is to see the world more clearly, think about what we'd like it to become, and how we can make that happen.  We think that discussing these sorts of ideas is one way to lessen the alienation that affects many of us trying to make sense of a world that so often makes no sense of us.  We also play loads of awesome music (sometimes thematic!) with great enthusiasm for requests and an emphasis on supporting local artists. It's fun!

Justice for Palestine: Solidarity through Sovereignty

Good morning zed friends! This week on Radio Reversal we're continuing to amplify the ongoing struggle against Israel's genocidal violence and settler colonial expansion in Palestine. We'll be sharing some recordings from last night's Justice for Palestine Meanjin - Brisbane public meeting, setting out the campaign so far, and the many ways that people in so-called queensland can get involved. You'll hear from Sam Woripa Watson on histories of international solidarity and shared struggle with First Nations people here; Phil Monsour, offering a history of Justice for Palestine organising here in so-called brisbane, and Jeff Rickertts, setting out the long-standing complicity of the Labor party with Israeli apartheid. And we'll wrap up with a quick chat with Palestinian organiser and spokesperson for JFP: Dr. Jamal Nabulsi.

We know that mainstream media have been complicit in reproducing Israeli propoganda. We also know that the responsibility of community and independent media is to tell the truth in these moments; to refuse to accept the story of the oppressor and to stand in uncompromising solidarity with the oppressed. So for the foreseeable future, we'll be building our Palestinian justice archive: sharing content from the protest movements, checking in with frontline organisers, and doing whatever we can to make sure that the global Palestinian resistance stays front and centre in our minds.
