League of Legends
League of Legends (LOL) is online battle arena game, it is free to play on any windows computer and has recently been released on mac computers. It was released on October 27, 2009. The developers of this game are called Riot Games; so far the only game Riot has created is LOL.
Players are formed into 2 even teams of Champions, 3v3 or 5v5. So far there are 110 champions to be played. Champions can either be bought with influence points (IP) or riot points (RP) influence points can be gained but playing games, and RP can be purchased using money.
Riot are always bringing out new champions as much as possible to make things more interesting ,and to keep people playing. There are rarely bugs or glitches in this game because riot are constantly patching or fixing the servers.
Riot also have a thing called the tribunal this is a place where people that have been verbally abusing or just being stupid on the game can be judged and decided whether they should be banned or not.
League of Legends is the most played game in the world, with 70 million accounts, 12 million players daily while call of duty only gets 3.3.
One of the upcoming championships is called the Intel championship, the prize money is $150 000 to be shared between 5 people. This game is so big riot are trying to turn it into sport and are wanting it broadcast on TV like football.
The graphics on this game vary on to how good your computer graphics card is, unfortunately when I first started playing this game I was playing on an old computer, and to make it run smoothly I had to put all my graphics on low.
This game is highly addictive and great fun, if your looking to study and do a lot of work don’t get into this game because you will find yourself always on it and not able to leave.
