Masterful Magicians at the Maho Magic Bar!
Forget Karaoke, the newest craze direct from Japan is the Maho Magic Bar where you will be delighted by Japanese Edo period magicians performing close-up magic directly for you whilst you sup on a Japanese cocktail.
Kirsten Siddle has created a unique Japanese-themed space combining the crazy innovations of Tokyo with the magic shows of Vegas. Six magicians will mystify and flummox you with their own magical specialities:
Shirayuri is not only a snappy dresser but also a conjuring whizz mind-reading your cards and transforming drinks as the mixologist of mischief. Having worked on Japanese TV and in Vegas and Hollywood he is one to behold.
Wambi from Toyohashi is known as the Engineer of eye-popping hardware and defying physics by magically passing solids through one-another with his sleight-of-hand.
The cheeky conjurer E. O. Lee is the egg whisperer scrambling your mind with his trickery. He once visited Queensland on an exchange program and is keen to be back to baffle and bemuse with his kooky craft.
Kaori is the Kawaii Princess of Illusion transforming patterns and objects in front of you and reading your inner thoughts with ease. With over a decade of honing her craft she is cute but a crafty one to watch.
Spica is the Kakooii matriarch and hustler ready to manipulate your cards and cocktails with an elegant smile. Spica loves a bet and never loses. She is also an actress, so beware her poker face!
Comet is the cocktail queen, juggling mixers like they were on fire, which they sometimes are! She won the 2024 Flair Best Female award in Pattaya, Thailand and can flip a glass or three…
Accompanying the table-top conjuring is also funky music, fluorescent lights and the famous Japanese contemporary flair to make the sixty minutes a party to remember.
There is even a special menu of tricks to further delight and a large selection of kooky alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails to choose from, all prepared with flair by the Cocktail Queen, Comet.
With hour-long shows the space is ideal for office parties, stag and hen do’s or just out with a gang of mates. You will be seated at a bar or table together and have your own personal magician on rotation so you can see up their sleeves and scrutinise for any trickery.
Each table can host up to 14 guests, or you can book the entire show for up to 67 people, with beverage packages available.
Adult sessions in the evenings Tuesday - Sunday (suitable for ages 12+), and family friendly matinees on Saturday and Sunday afternoons before 4pm (recommended for ages 6+ with parental guidance).
There are also two brilliant interactive shows with a 15% discount for Flight and Seance by Darkside which can be booked for an incredible night out!
It’s a unique comical night of masterful magic at the Maho Magic Bar at the Queensland Maritime Museum in the South Bank!
