Bubbles? But this is not the boring bubbles for kids, see how two award-winning professional bubbleologists have arrived from the UK stages to wow Australia, and now it’s Brisbane’s turn for a rude awakening to the magical manipulation of bubbles. 

Iulia Benze and Kurt Murray manipulate the humble bubble to every shape and size imaginable to create a naughty night of burlesque excitement and wonder. It is now on as part of the 2025 MELT Festival in Brisbane.

Kurt Murray has over two decades of theatre experience working as an actor, director and cabaret performer. His love of bubble manipulation combined with his performance skills has created a new form of Bubble storytelling.

Iulia Benze has had a varied career as an Actress and Performance Artist co-founding the theatre company CRAFT in London. Iulia’s neo-burlesque performance reshapes the art of bubbles as an advanced theatrical medium with co-performer Murray for a dazzling bubbly form of exhibitionism.

Australian accolades include: Best Show at the Newcastle Fringe 2025; Best Variety at Adelaide Fringe 2025; Best Circus at the Perth Fringe 2023; and were shortlisted, Best Circus at the Sydney Fringe in 2024.

Starting with a pumping soundtrack, flashing lights and dazzling costumes which become less and smaller as the show progresses, Benze and Murray perform impossible bubbly feats with fun and charisma. The high energy naughty interactions between the pair titillate as the volume of bubbles  increases and the shapes are more astounding.

It is a brilliant fun adults only night out with a comfy bar for your pre-show drinks at the hip West End Electric Theatre, nestled right next to the restaurants. So you can have a meal and then bubbles for desert!
