Darren Hanlon

Darren Hanlon releases sixth studio album Life Tax on March 4 on his Flippin Yeah Records label. Life Tax is Hanlon’s most pared down and gentle album to date. Though it contains long time live favourites Lapsed Catholic and Freight Train From Kyogle, they sit alongside new narrative folk songs and short fable-like lullabies set to be similarly treasured. Recorded in the Northcote Uniting Church Hall in 2019, Life Tax was shelved for a time so Hanlon could support its release in the traditional sense, with tours planned in 2022, both in Australia and the USA.
