Hilz

Hilz is a Meanjin-based singer-songwriter who has been making music for longer than she can remember. After a long stint in musical theatre (most recently including a 2022 national tour of Shake & Stir’s Jane Eyre, understudying Sarah McLeod of the Superjesus), in 2022 Hilz made the decision to finally take the plunge into releasing original music.

She writes alongside her brother, Al (keyboard/bass) and they are supported live by Gabe (guitar) and Will (drums). Between them, the group have decades of performance experience and have played in venues all over Brisbane, including the Tivoli, Lefty’s Music Hall, Bloodhound Bar and the Powerhouse.
